Pilates designed for how you move

We start with stability, build strength, then add power. Every exercise is there for a reason, with your Instructor helping you understand the movement from your very first class.

Find your kind of Pilates

We start with a simple question: how do you move in real life? The Haven Method builds control and strength with those moments in mind, from carrying a sleepy child to a long walk with friends.

Your first visit

Walking into a new place feels easier when you know what to expect. Here’s how to book and what happens when you arrive.

01

Choose your intro pack

Buy your pack online. We’ll email you access to your account and The Haven app. Then choose a class and reserve your place. Buying a pack and booking a class are separate steps.

–

02

Book your first class

In the app or on our website, choose Reformer Starter, Mat Strength or Barre and confirm your place. You can cancel free up to 6 hours before class. Everyone begins Reformer with Starter. Method becomes available after 3 Starter classes.

+

03

Bring your grip socks

They’re required for Reformer and recommended for Mat and Barre. Already have a pair? Bring them along. You can also buy a pair for €10 at reception or add them to your basket when buying your pack.

+

04

Arrive 10 minutes early

That gives us time to welcome you and show you the studio, lockers and changing rooms. Be in the room 5 minutes before class. For Reformer, your Instructor will introduce the machine and set the springs for you.

+

05

We’ll take it from here

Your Instructor guides you through the full 50 minutes, explains what comes next and helps you adjust when you need it. You don’t need to know the exercises or keep up with anyone. Just come to class and move. We’ll take care of the rest.

Before you come

What should I bring?

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Grip socks are required for Reformer and recommended for Mat and Barre. Bring your own or buy a pair for €10 at reception. We provide the equipment.

How early should I arrive?

For your first visit, arrive 10 minutes early. We’ll show you where to leave your things and get ready. Be in the room 5 minutes before class. For Reformer, your Instructor will introduce the machine and set the springs.

Can I shower after class?

Of course. We have lockers and changing rooms with showers, shampoo, towels and a hair dryer. You can come to class and head straight to work afterwards. There’s also water, coffee and tea when you have time to stay a little longer.

Where can I park?

There’s paid parking in the square outside the studio at Praça do Junqueiro 3B. You can also park free of charge behind the studio.

Are classes in Portuguese or English?

Both, depending on who’s in the room. Your Instructor gives guidance in Portuguese and English when needed. Classes taught only in English are marked ENG on the timetable.

I’m new to exercise, injured or pregnant. Which class should I book?

New to exercise? Start with Reformer Starter, Mat Strength or Barre. With an injury, speak to your Instructor before class about adjustments. During pregnancy or postpartum, ask us about Reformer Moms, led by an Instructor with specific pre- and postnatal training.
